Multi-Touch Interface "WALL"
We've talked about concurrency and how to handle potential issues in groupware and complex collaborative interface design... throw all of those challenges out the window. Here's an interaction model that blows the top off Pandora's box looking back on Jeff Han's multi-touch interface presentation. Enjoy!

"VOCO" Just say it. VOCO gets it.
Think you're the ultimate gadget lover, are you the earliest adapter? The Voco voice commander is poised to change the way we access information. Making it's entry to the home entertainment and information system market, this technology has potentially far reaching capability. If you thought Google changed the way we search the web, you're going to love the way these guys think about information access!

In a time of converging technologies, where your cellphone is your camera and your mp3 player, your date book, web browser and more... how can you start bringing other parts of your lifestyle and home entertainment and information systems and appliances into the fold? What are the best mechanisms to not only integrate your devices into a single user experience, but to drive the experience?
You've gone through your fair share of universal remotes, you've got endless cables and adapters to hook your PC, Tivo, Stereo, MP3 and more into a cobbled network, but now what? You're still tied to the remote, the keyboard and the mouse. Let's talk about what Voco is bringing to the table. I'm interested in hearing from you.

Jeff Han: Unveiling the genius of multi-touch interface design
We're talking about a completely new way of interacting with graphical interfaces. Jeff Han makes an extremely important observation: "It's completely intuitive, there's no instruction manual, the interface just kind of disappears". A major challenge in designing complex informatics systems is to provide users with the right work flows, features and tools to complete their intended tasks without letting the interface get in their way. Today's operating systems, while they're providing novel ways of bubbling up key features and functions based on screen context and task, are still reliant on a primarily folder, window, panel, toolbar paradigm. Multi-touch Interface Design and it's stylus/tablet predecessor are about to revolutionize the personal computing experience. Enjoy!
